As anticipated, here's another issue of The WineWeb newsletter just for you--
to keep you up-to-date with happenings on the site and to alert you to new wines.
WineWeb Around the World Promotion
We're giving away shirts to promote the WineWeb e-Marketplace. Claim yours today.
Here's how it works. We'll send you a WineWeb T-shirt for the price of shipping it to you (Priority Mail $5 in US, $9-11 anywhere else in the world). You wear the shirt and take a photo of you in front of a landmark. Send us the photo and we'll post it in our online gallery.
Our WineWeb shirts are a nice, heavyweight gray fabric that look good just about anywhere. Full details of our promotion are at www.wineweb.com/world.
Discover a New Wine
We've heard that some of you didn't receive our newsletter last month, so we're repeating this list. One of the pleasures of buying wine online is discovering a treasure that is not easily, if at all, available in your local wine shops. Here are some places to begin your journey of renewal.
We welcome the following new wineries to The WineWeb:
- A Renaissance in California - Renaissance Vineyards and Winery focuses on the Rhone and Bordeaux styles. Read about their long and interesting history, and check out their wines online.
- Amethyst - While it may be a gem, Amethyst Winery was named after the nymph in a Roman myth about Bacchus. They started with Nebbiolo and now have a Pinot Grigio and a Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Downtown Livermore - That's where the tasting room for John Christopher Cellars is located. If you can't make it there, check out their Petite Sirah and Zinfandel online.
- Starlite - You can now order the Zinfandel from Starlite Vineyards online. Merry Edwards is the winemaker.
- Tuscan Style - Montoliva Vineyard & Winery makes theire wines in the Italian tradition in Chicago Park, CA. Check out their Sinistra, a Super Tuscan blend.
Have a great Independence Day and a pleasurable time with your favorite wine.
