Thanksgiving Wines

I'm sure you've seen several suggestions for wines to serve with your Thanksgiving meal.  If you are heading out to your local wine shop today, here's our picks.

• Clos de Nouys Vouvray 2004 - $15 - the Chenin Blanc goes with many of the traditional fixings and offers your guests a choice of a lighter but dry wine.
   
• Easton Zinfandel 2003 - $15 - After tasting this I wanted some turkey.  This Amador County Zin is not the typical over-the-top jammy wine. It's a perfect compliment to the meal.

This is a useful two-way discussion tool that allows anyone to comment on anything written in the Blog. Interesting Wines

This month we highlight a few wineries that are using the WineWeb for their website and e-commerce services.

• Get on the mailing list at Black Sears Estate if you want any of their wine next year.  They only produce a few hundred cases of Cab and Zin from their Howell Mountain vineyard.
   
• The new website for Sullivan Vineyards is going live as I type this. They meld art and wine from the Rutherford Bench in Napa to create Red Ink and Pink Ink, among others.
   
• Check out the Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel from Magito Wines. Their name reflects the Spirit of the Magi, an appropriate gift for the holidays.
