Yes, it's been a while since you've seen one of our newsletters.  No, we didn't lose your email address -- we've  just been stretched a bit thin with all the things going on here.

WineWeb at the Trade Shows
7 shows in 6 weeks
We exhibited our services at seven winery trade shows during the winter season, and it's been a bit hectic as we're getting new winery and wine merchant clients almost daily.

That's good news for you as there are now more wines available for purchase online -- about170,000.

Shopping Cart Enhancements
Now even easier to order online
We continue to enhance our shopping cart system so you are comfortable ordering wine online and it's as straightforward as possible. We've given our client wineries and wine merchants more options to use in promoting their wines, so look for some creative promotions that are being offered.

Some things to remember:

  • If you register for a myWineWeb account at the end of your order checkout process, it makes it easy to order from any other winery or merchant that uses our shopping cart system, as the system will populate your shipping and billing information. A myWineWeb account also gives you access to your order history and lets you create a wish list of wines.
  • It isn't cheap to ship wine. Not only are there costs for the winery to comply with the varied state regulations, but wine is heavy and fragile. We see many people abandoning their order after seeing the shipping cost -- before you do, be sure to read the discounts and promotions available, as ordering a few more bottles will surely reduce the "per bottle" shipping cost, and may also entitle you to other discounts.

New Wines to Discover
Our latest favorites
We sample quite a few wines each month. While most of them are good, some stand out enough that we'll go back and get some more. Here's some of our current favorites.

While we don't want to mention the wines from our Club WineWeb shipments just because they're in our wine club, we need to mention them as we really like them.

  • Cocetti Zinfandel was in our latest club shipment, and if you were patient enough to open and let it sit a bit, you were rewarded with a complexity rarely seen in a $16 wine. Oh, and they have a sweet deal for free shipping.
  • If you're a fan, like us, of a winemaker's blending skills, look no further than Magito Wines. The club shipment was a Sauvignon Blanc and a Cabernet Sauvignon. We've also had the Zinfandel, and it's hard to decide which we like better. Good news, they have a 6 pack sampler for $99 with free shipping.
  •  If special 6 pack pricing interests you, check out Graeser Winery's specials. We're fans of their Cabernet Franc, but their Semillon is perfect for the warmer weather.

And while you're waiting for those wines to arrive at your door, head down to your local wine shop (or order online from one of our merchants) for these:
